Special event taking place at St Barnabas Istead Rise on 23 February 2016 with Debbie Thrower and Alex Burn from The Gift of Years at The Bible Reading Fellowship.
This is an opportunity to gather those who have a heart for ministry with people with dementia, in order to explore how we might work with The Gift of Years to establish Anna Chaplaincy in Rochester Diocese.
Several people are unable to attend on 23 February but are interested in finding out about Anna Chaplaincy. Let me know if you are in this position, as I plan to arrange a follow-up meeting for the benefit of those unable to come on 23 February.
Details will be available soon for a series of free half day workshops for volunteers in church-based cafes working with older people including those with dementia.
In the meantime, please be in touch if I can support you in any way, or with your ideas for how we might best support people with dementia and their carers and resource parishes in their pastoral ministry.
