Lent : Ash Wednesday, Evening Course and Morning Prayers

The season of Lent begins on March 6th, with an Ash Wednesday Service at 7.30pm at All Saints. The service will include an opportunity for the imposition of ashes followed by Holy Communion.

On the following five Wednesdays there will be a Lent Course at All Saints in the evening. This year, for Lent, we’re using the Churches Together course, The Mystery of God. The course will help us to “rediscover what it is that draws us so deeply in our search for God. We will follow Jesus through the Lenten readings, allowing him to draw us, in love and wonder, into the mystery of God’s plan of salvation.”  Course materials will be supplied.

If you’re planning to attend please put your name on the list at the back of church. Course commences Wednesday March 13th, starting at 7.30pm, with tea and coffee at 7.15pm.

LENT – Also – Every Monday, there is an opportunity to gather for Morning Prayer in the Church Lounge at 8.45am. During the period of Lent, we shall be using a variety of different styles of Morning Prayer including Celtic Prayer, Contemplative Prayer, Common Worship  (Passiontide), Morning Prayer, The Community of Aidan & Hilda, Lindisfarne and The Northumbria Community & 1662 Book of Common Prayer. Come and join us as we pray together though Lent!
